You've been invited to join us for our wedding
Please reach us at a.and.j.2024@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Please follow the directions on the Tyax website:
https://tyax.com/getting-to-tyax-bc-chilcotins/
IMPORTANT: Google Maps could lead you up a forestry road that is no longer in use - please be sure to follow the directions on the website.
Simply put - design esthetics. Jessica didn't like the look of "J & A" so made it "A & J" so the "J" anchored our logo better!
No. The last ~2 hours is on a gravel forestry road that it is packed, level, and 2 lanes wide most of the way. When we drove it in the off season (April 2023), there were some areas of wash out (some bigger rocks have fallen across the road) but otherwise smooth. We did not need 4WD to make it.
For our Welcome BBQ, June 20th:
Casual to as formal as you'd like - the bride and groom will be in more "cocktail" attire, but as some may not arrive until shortly before the BBQ starts, what you wear is whatever you'd like!
For our Wedding Day, June 21st:
Beach Formal Attire, please. Please read the following description from a wedding website:
For Men: "...a suit is usually your safest bet, but skip black and choose a color like blue or tan instead. Summer fabrics, like linen and seersucker, are appropriate for this dress code. Unless the invitation says otherwise, assume you'll need a tie or bow tie—feel free to choose a solid color or a modest pattern. Finally, don't forget a belt and complementary dress shoes."
For Women: "While an elevated maxi dress is an appropriate option for women, so are high-low and midi dresses or a classy jumpsuit or pantsuit. You can opt for bright colors, pastels or formal metallic, as well as simple patterns. As for accessories, look for block heels or a dressy wedge. Elegant jewelry is a great way to add an extra dose of formality. "

A wedding joins two people and combines their families. We wanted a space that would allow all of us to have more time together without traveling overseas. Tyax is an approximate middle ground between our two families and is a beautiful, private location for us to come together and celebrate.
Only if they are on the invitation as well. Tyax can only accommodate 100 people, and we (surprisingly) had many more than that on our invite list, so we had to set limits.
Note: If your children are 5 and under, you are welcome to bring them. If they are 6 and up, we hope the kids enjoy some time with family while you enjoy a mini parent's retreat!
Yes, Tyax Lodge has a 2 night minimum.
Yes, you can contact Tyax to make this booking based on their availability.
